Beer Grab Bag Day 7: Lemon Truly Hard Seltzer

Yes, another Truly Hard Seltzer!

Lemon is a very sour fruit, even more so than grapefruit. But Truly took it upon themselves to attempt to recreate the flavor of the fruit in a hard seltzer. Lemon is usually paired with lime or some other fruit, and for good reason. But let’s dive in!

Presentation: The same as all the other Truly Hard Seltzers I have reviewed. A white can, with a shot of a lemon wedge being dunked in some effervescent water along the top. Simple, but effective.

Taste: This is the only Truly Hard Seltzer to have disappointed me thus far. This tastes similar to how cleaning wipes smell! Lysol, Clorox, Member’s Mark, they all have lemon-scented wipes, and this drink tastes just like those wipes’ scent. Not good at all.

Smell: It actually smells okay, not really like cleaning solution. Guess it’s easier to get the smell of lemon than it is to make the taste of it.

Mouthfeel: Identical to the other Truly Hard Seltzers, thankfully. Easy to get through.

Value: It’s priced the same as the other seltzers, and has the same ABV. So technically, you get the same value. But that taste makes you wish you were drinking any of the other flavors.
