Grapefruit is a flavor you either love or hate. It’s a unique, sour fruit that apparently has a rap for messing with the bioavailability of any drugs (prescription or otherwise) that you might be taking. I happen to love grapefruit, so I was looking forward to this one!
Presentation: Basically the same as the other Truly Hard Seltzers I have reviewed, but perhaps a little understated as there’s only color along the top of the white can. I suppose the point of these cans is that you can spot that giant-sized TRULY from across the liquor store.
Taste: Like grapefruit with a slight burn on the way down! Quite pleasing, but not much to it other than grapefruit. I think that’s what you expect from a drink such as this, though.
Smell: Very sour and sweet, just like grapefruit soda. Perhaps a little too sweet smelling given how grapefruit actually tastes, but it’s not a bad smell by any means.
Mouthfeel: Identical to other Truly Hard Seltzers. Like drinking a spiked soda.
Value: I love grapefruit, but not sure if I could drink a bunch of this in a short amount of time. It’d be great as part of a multi-pack, though.
